The Internal Revenue Service granted tax exempt status to the Sanskrit Library.

The Internal Revenue Service approved the Sanskrit Library's application for tax-exempt status on 17 April 2014. Although founded as a non-profit corporation in the State of Rhode Island 4 November 2002, the Sanskrit Library applied for exemption from federal taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code only in December 2012. As the letter granting tax-exemption details, donations and gifts to the Sanskrit Library are now tax-deductible.
